Overview

Contract Design Engineer for aircraft hydraulic, landing gear, and water/waste systems, including 3D tube routing and schematics. Fully onsite in Savannah, GA, at $36–$56/hr.

Role Description

This is a contract position, fully onsite in Savannah, GA. Pay rate: $36–$56/hour.

Due to client requirements, we are only able to consider U.S. Citizens or Green Card holders for this role.

We are seeking an Aerospace Hydraulic Systems Design Engineer to join a Hydraulics engineering team at a business aviation manufacturer. You will design and support aircraft fluid and mechanical systems, including hydraulics, landing gear, and water/waste, for development and production aircraft.

Responsibilities

• Design and route hydraulic and fluid system tubing and installations in 3D CAD
• Develop and update hydraulic system schematics
• Support hydraulic, landing gear, and water/waste system design and integration
• Provide technical solutions to a wide range of design and production problems within schedule and cost objectives
• Contribute to planning and coordination of engineering projects
• Act as liaison with manufacturing, suppliers, and other engineering groups

Requirements

• Must be a U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder (client requirement)
• Bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical or Aerospace preferred) or equivalent experience
• 5+ years in a specific technical discipline or 10+ years of broad engineering experience
• Proficient in CATIA V5
• Proficient in Microsoft Office

Preferred

• Aircraft systems experience: hydraulics, water/waste, or landing gear
• 3D tube routing and hydraulic schematic experience
• Siemens NX experience
• Teamcenter experience
